#REALTORLIFE
Sonja has been a member of the Harrison County Association of Realtors since 2015. When asked what she enjoyed most about being a Real Estate Agent, she replied "I enjoy working with people, getting to know them and forming life long relationships. I feel a great responsibility and find it very rewarding when I am given the opportunity to pair a client with their new home."

Sonja was able to obtain her degree from Marshall University by working as a hair stylist at a department store. Not long after she was offered an opportunity of a lifetime. As a matter-of-fact it was even on her bucket list, a summer in Alaska. Her time in Kodiak, Alaska didn't end the fall of that year as planned; it ended ten years later.
What did she do in that ten years? She held different positions and acquired the interpersonal skills that you could only gain through vast experience. To name a few: she was a Quality Control Manager in a cannery, a Professional Baiter on fishing boats and an Inventory Control Manager. She also spent time volunteering for the Alaska Department of Fish and Wildlife. The focus was on replenishing the salmon runs by increasing reproduction and the survival of the fingerlings.

The next time you see Sonja, take the opportunity to ask her to share with you the story of how she was quarantined off the coast of Panama. You won't regret it.
